Cherry blossom(Sakura) season has come, so I changed my walking course.🌸
Cherry trees are lined up along the small river, and it looks like a tunnel.
There are some types of sakura, but when speaking of sakura, we think of”somei-yoshino”.🤔🌸
I mean, we see pink sakuras in a town which are almost somei-yoshino.👀
The somei-yoshino was created using two different trees in the Edo period.
Therefore at first, somei-yoshino was only one tree. ☝️
After that, it was increased by grafting.
So, all of the somei-yoshino are clones and have the same gene.
Under the conditionality of “regarded as the same individual with matching DNA information,” there is only one somei-yoshino tree in the world.
Isn’t it interesting?😃
Unfortunately, somei-yoshino have short life, moreover they are easy to get infectious diseases.
So, now it is progressing to a different type (Jindai-akebono) in order.
The color is a bit more deep pink than somei-yoshino, but they are very similar, so I won’t be able to see the differences.🧐
For your deference, jindai-akebono is also a clone.
Anyway, I feel happy enjoying sakura this year too.😄💕
I hear the sound of birds that are also enjoying sakura.🐦

桜の季節がやってきたので、朝の散歩コースを変更しています。
細い川沿いに桜の木が並んでいるので、まるでトンネルのようになります。🌸😍
桜はいくつかの種類がありますが、桜といえばソメイヨシノです。🤔🌸
街中で見かけるピンクの桜はほとんどがソメイヨシノです。
そのソメイヨシノは、江戸時代にそれぞれ違う二本の木を交配させて作られました。
なので、最初のソメイヨシノは一本だけだったのです。☝️
その後、接ぎ木で増えていきました。
だからすべてのソメイヨシノは同じ遺伝子を持つクローンなのです。
「DNA情報が一致する同一個体は1本とみなす」という条件のもとでは、ソメイヨシノは世界に1本しかない。ということなのです。
面白いでしょ？😃
残念ながら、ソメイヨシノは短命で、伝染病に掛かりやすい木です。
だから今は、ジンダイアケボノという桜への植え替えが進んでいます。
ジンダイアケボノの方が少しだけ濃いピンクですが、とてもよく似ているので私には見分けられないと思います。🧐
ちなみに、ジンダイアケボノもクローンです。
ともあれ、今年も桜を楽しめることに幸せを感じます。😄💕
